Spots Available for Study Trip to the Cotswolds – UK


There are still three spots left for our study trip to the Cotwolds.

WHEN: June 20th to 25th, 2011

TOPIC:

This area of England is known for its scenic villages, historic architecture and as a Regional Destination for Heritage Tourism. We will learn from local people about how the small towns and villages promote themselves cooperatively and attract tourists. We will meet local tourism officials, site operators, entrepreneurs and cultural experts.

COST: $2000

This includes flight, five days of guided tours and accommodation.

SCHEDULE:

June 19th

Catch Flight in Toronto

June 20th

Day 1 - Check in to accommodation, optional walking tour of Oxford, free time

June 21

Day 2 - North Cotswolds: Chipping Norton, Morton-on-Mash, Stow

June 22nd

Day 3 - South Cotswolds: Lechlade, Kalmscott, Thames Boat Tour

June 23

Day 4 - Central Cotswolds: Burford, Whitney

June 24th

Day 5 - Trip to Bath

June 25th

Free day – Accommodation not provided

June 26th

Flight back to Canada from Gatwick Airport

UK Study Trip - Deposits Due - March 4th

The UK Study Trip to the Cotswolds is taking place June 20-25th.

A deposit of $500 is due March 4th.

The tentative schedule is:
Day 1 - Check in to accommodation, optional walking tour of Oxford, free time?
Day 2 - North Cotswolds: Chipping Norton, Morton-on-Mash, Stow ?
Day 3 - South Cotswolds: Lechlade, Kalmscott, Thames Boat Tour ?
Day 4 - Central Cotswolds: Burford, Whitney ?
Day 5 - Trip to Bath
