WATERLOO REGION MUSEUM EXHIBIT ON INNOVATION NEEDS YOUR HELP

From the North Waterloo ACO Branch Newsletter:

WATERLOO REGION – Waterloo Region Museum exhibit galleries will open in late 2011. The first exhibit in the temporary gallery of the new museum will focus on innovation in Waterloo Region. The steering committee for this exhibit is in the process of gathering information from the community with a focus on innovation.

As a community, people living and working in Waterloo Region have developed and embraced innovations whether they are solutions to old problems, high-tech electronics or social programs. It is this culture of creativity and invention that sets Waterloo Region apart as a centre of innovation in Ontario, and why the Waterloo Region Museum needs your help to tell this story.

From the LeRoy, the first Canadian production car, to the Lee- Enfield Rifle and, of course, the Blackberry, Waterloo Region has a rich story of innovation that continues to this day.
Please help us create this exhibit by sending the Waterloo Region Museum your thoughts, stories, photos or video about innovation in Waterloo Region. Please email the information to innovation@regionofwaterloo.ca
